thank you for posting this.

except that he picks the blanket back up again AFTER he delivers the scripture. for me he drops the blanket because he is convinced he must tell the meaning of Christmas and his message is very important and he doesn’t need to hold on to the blanket to tell it.

I agree though that Charles Schultz was trying to make some kind of statement with Linus dropping his blanket at that moment.
