Sorry I haven’t replied yet! The kidlets are home for the summer and keeping me busy 🙂

I’m trying to think of the deals I snagged this week…hmmm…I bought lots of the spiral notebooks on sale at Wal Mart for .05 each.

Then I had a lot of the $2.25 off Electrasol coupons so I bought many boxes of that detergent at Wal Mart. It’s actually cheaper at Target, but I goofed on that one.

I haven’t bought many groceries this week b/c we’re leaving town on Friday so I don’t want to have any food in the fridge.

There are a few good rebate deals at Walgreens this week. Markers and something else are free after rebate.

Also, I do buy things that I don’t normally eat, but if I’ll eat it once a year or my kids can use it at their schools for class parties I’ll buy it if it’s super cheap. One example is from a previous poster that said she doesn’t eat gummy bears. I don’t either, but gummy bears are great goodies for class parties. We don’t bake cake or brownies often, but Betty Crocker mixes are often free or almost free after double and triple coupons plus sales so I have a few of those in my pantry ready to go for when a friend of mine has a baby and I want to bring a dessert, or we’re having friends over, or my kids are having a class party (seems like they have class parties once a month, LOL!).

Last year for Easter there was a great sale + coupons on Fruit Gusher snacks, which my kids don’t eat either but I stuffed the little individual bags in Easter eggs for the school Easter egg hunt. So instead of spending $30 on treats from Oriental Trading I spent next to nothing.

Another thing I’ve learned is to go through all of my mail. I used to throw away “junk” mail until I realized there are a lot of good coupons that come in the mail. Today, for instance I got a coupon in the mail for $5 of off a $50 purchase at my local grocery store.
