As we can all see Hamilton for a 7 dollar streaming service, how many CAFers are dancing and singing along?

The talent in this show is top notch.

I didn’t think I’d like it, but is the best Broadway show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been going to them since I was a kid.

Everyone is talking about seeing it on Disney+. I saw it live in a road production in Ft Lauderdale two years ago. It was a lot less expensive than Broadway. But you can see it on Disney+ for the price of one month’s subscription. Who knows when it’ll be in the theaters again.

A 7 dollar monthly subscription is the best ticket price ever!!

I won’t watch it, even if it were free. The cast was so disrespectful to Vice President Pence and his family for no reason.

Pence enjoyed the show and was not critical of the message the cast expressed. His reaction, in fact, was understanding and gracious.

Vice President-elect Mike Pence said the boos he faced at the Broadway production of “Hamilton” were “what freedom sounds like.”

Pence also didn’t criticize the show’s cast for addressing him from the stage after the play’s end Friday night, saying he wasn’t offended and understood their message.

“I did hear what was said from the stage. I can tell you I wasn’t offended by what was said. I will leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“My daughter and I and her cousins really enjoyed the show. ‘Hamilton’ is just an incredible production, incredibly talented people. It was a real joy to be there,” Pence said.

“When we arrived we heard a few boos, and we heard some cheers,” he said, “I nudged my kids and reminded them that is what freedom sounds like.”

As someone who suffered thru Pence’s term as governor, he’s the source of disrespect and deserved the call out he received. He is a textbook hypocrite. My opinion, and that of many across Indiana.

This show is really incredible and the talent is phenomenal. We don’t have Disney+ but we may rent it nonetheless…it’s far less expensive than going to a show or even to a movie theatre. I wonder if it’ll be released on DVD/Blue Ray.

:notes:I am inimitable, I am an original 🎶

Pence’s reaction showed a lot of class. A rarity in my fellow Hoosiers! 🤣

I don’t care to see it and probably never will. I remember when they hyped the movie Avatar and I went to see it. It was one of the dumbest movies I ever saw.
Like a futuristic Dancing With Wolves.

I liked the musicals from the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s.

I already saw it on Broadway a few years ago. The show I saw had Javier whatsisame in the lead and a couple of other cast changes. I will likely eventually watch this one when the hubbub dies down and I can see it someplace other than subscribing to a streaming service that I don’t want, because I would like to see Miranda play the role and mentally compare it to Javier.

Apart from that, while I enjoyed the show and the rap musical concept is a novel one, it didn’t knock me out or make my “best show ever” list or anything. I preferred the satire of “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” which I saw off–Broadway.

I saw it on Broadway. The only lyrics I could understand were from “You’ll Be Back.”

I had this problem too. The lyrics were very hard to understand in performance, unless perhaps you were sitting in the first three rows. I am no stranger to figuring out hard-to-hear lyrics including rap, so I’m sure a huge portion of the audience had this problem. I also think many attendees, especially younger people, had already listened to recordings of the songs and knew them before going to the show.

I saw it on Broadway as well. But I’d listened to the soundtrack enough to already know the lyrics, so that probably helped.

One nice thing about watching it on Disney—you can turn on closed-captioning.

I listened to the soundtrack, so I don’t really feel the need to watch the taping of it. I liked it. It was unique and I loved the talent. The topic itself is boring, but Lin Manuel managed to make it into an entertaining story and through this musical, gave many young people an interest in American history.

Satisfied and Wait For It were my personal favourites 🙂

My niece has Disney+, so we watched Hamilton with my 94 year old mother. The closed captions made it much more enjoyable for her.

I liked that the rapping and hip-hop was interspersed with just enough actual melodies. It’s still not the kind of musical where I’ll leave humming the tunes in my head, but I’m an old timer, used to Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. My niece already knew much of the lyrics by heart. We all enjoyed it.

I had a bit of this, knew the soundtrack well. It is worth the 7 bucks to see it performed. The nuance of facial expressions to the dance coregrophy is so much more.
