The Hidden Green Scapular

Last night my wife was cleaning out her jewelry box. She had notes, little boxes, and different things in there. She showed me something her mom gave her years ago, over a decade. It was a green scapular without a cord. We looked it up and found out it was for the conversion of souls. If you know my story, then you know I had an awesome experience 2 years ago that brought me back to the Church. This is one more puzzle piece that fits in perfectly with what happened. The more I learn, the more I’m amazed. Get someone a green scapular soon. Tim

Tim, Tim…our paths cross 2 times today. What a pleasure.

The green scapular is an amazing sacramental. My father believes his mission in life is to promote the green scapular. He’s hidden so many and passed out hundreds.

Thus I have done the same in honor of my father.

The conversion stories are amazing indeed. What a blessing it is to have you in the church.

I concur…Get someone a green scapular soon - or hide one for someone soon.

The Lord is working around here today , isn’t He. I think He is telling me to get one for someone close to me. Tim

I placed one between the mattress and box spring on my non-catholic husbands side of the bed (not that I have another husband who is catholic:D ) The first thing I do when I get into bed at night is to pray the prayer that goes along with it. Gotta have faith!!!
 
Years ago when I was a patrolman I had the opportunity to respond to an intoxicated/depressed person call. During this time religion came up during our conversation. The person was Catholic but also an alcoholic. Prior to leaving the residence I pulled a green scapular out of my shirt pocket to give them. The person almost started crying. They pulled from their wallet a green scapular and held it next to mine assuring me that they would seek help for Alcohol and a priest for spiritual advancement. Just thought I would share.

On the flip-side I have green scapulars all over my house. My wife is no where near converting to the Catholic Church. She is WELS. I get so impatient but I know if its Gods will it will happen. I will continue to keep the Green Scapulars in the house!

Pray to St Monica for patience and perseverance. It took decades for her to convert her husband and son (who became St Augustine) to Catholicism, but she succeeded.
 
Practices
  1. Wear or carry the scapular
  2. To help another, place it in their vicinity (i.e. their room)
  3. Pray, at least daily: “Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death”
  4. The prayer should be said for oneself and separately for each person to whom it has been given (unless they pray themselves)
  5. No enrollment of any kind is necessary, but each scapular should be blessed by a priest (general blessing of sacramentals)
  6. Have confidence in the effects of the scapular:
“The greatest graces come from using the scapular but these graces come
in direct proportion to the degree of confidence in me which the user has.”

Promises/Benefits
  1. Conversion of those who do not have the faith
  2. Reconciliation to the Church for those who have lost/strayed from the faith
  3. Assurance of a happy death
  4. Strengthening of the faith for those already in the Church
  5. Protection from Satan for those who wear or promote the scapul
 
I have great faith in The Green Scapular! I have several hidden in my house as I have a son who I want back into the Church, He will one day The Scapular will work.

The Prayer …" Immaculate Heart of Mary Pray for us now and at the hour of our death Amen"… to be said 3 times each day. I always mention my sons name, I also wear a Scapular.
