I am trying to write a paper on the First Principles as pointing toward God (those First Principles being those of Non-Contradiction, Excluded Middle, Identity and Intelligibility). I am looking for Augustine’s use of the Principle of Intelligibility (i.e. truth implies a knowing mind). I have found things in fragments from De Trinitate(Book XV, 14) and City of God(Book VIII, 6), but I am having a hard time locating a more complete source for his argument.
Please help me! I would really love to pass Metaphysics, so any help would be awesome.
