Everywhere I am on the internet I am faced anti-Christian/anti-Catholic bigotry and when I stand up for the Faith I am met with shaming and invalidation.

You’re not describing secularism you’re describing anti-Christian/anti-Catholic sentiment. True secularism is about putting every religious idea on an even playing field.

Wow? Let me see “discerning” equates to atheism in your profile. Let’s not cover ourselves shall we. Bare yourself, cause ya know, it’s natural. I could be wrong.

As someone who has crossed internet atheists there are “laughable” arguments, of course not all; if an atheist said arguments for Catholicism were “laughable” I’d guess that he has neither crossed a Catholic who knows more sophisticated arguments, like Aristotelian-Thomism, or just is a modern day atheist who thinks “believing in a god is silly.” I wouldn’t be necessarily offended or asking for an apology, I’d either give some books to read or try my best to explain my side.

Cut the “charitable” card of your deck. It’s a petty tactic. Pass that memo on to your fellow non-believers.
