Did anyone else catch this show on pbs?

I stumbled across it as the show was in the process of explaining images of a Jewish mother figure (sometimes clothed, sometimes half-nude) protector (protectress?) and many, many children on many of the grave markers.

I found it intriguing and would like more info. However, I couldn’t find anything on the pbs website.

Thanks in advance!

I believe that I posted a thread on this cemetery over a year ago. There was a show on TV about it. Jews go to the cemetery to a particular grave of a rabbi and put written petitions around/on his grave asking for their prayers to be answered. It reminded me of how we ask the saints to pray for us to God.

This might be where our tradition of asking for prayers of saints or holy ones came from.

It was very interesting. When I have time I will look at the video.

Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Yes, and along that same train of thought I’m interested in how this and possibly other Jewish traditions may have influenced Apostolic teachings about Mary.

Thanks!
