Wonderful job. Your, and your wifes’ enthusiam for the faith is refreshing and catching. Your background and story sparked my interest in early church history. To witness someone with your knowledge of history be ever so Caholic, rom this knowledge, helps confirm for us all that our faith is apprpriately directed in Catholicism.

Thank you

Saw it. Loved it. You and your wife are great in conversation and while I sensed some nervousness at first, it seemed like you were quickly at ease with Marcus Grodi. My favorite part: When David explained Marian devotion with the simple but brilliant: “Marcus, I’m sick will you pray for me?” That, in a nutshell explained why we Catholics ask Mary to pray for us.

Enjoyed it completely, especially the answers you gave in the question segment. Praise God!

David Zampino:
I was raised Episcopalian; I served 9 years in the ordained ministry in the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

My wife is a “revert”.

Thanks for your prayers.

Blessings,
Any thoughts of becoming a Catholic Priest?

If you watch the show, it’s one of the last questions asked of David, who responded with something like, “The paperwork is ready and has been submitted.”

Kudos for both you and your wife! You did a great job representing the Faith. I especially enjoyed your line about how “The Church does not come out of Scripture but rather Sripture comes out of the Church” (or something to that effect!).

As a seminarian studying for the priesthood myself, i pray your paperwork is approved so that we may both one day serve God’s flock as alter Christus… God willing.

And if you’d like, i can give Benedict a call on his Pope-phone on your behalf to get the ball rollin. You know the Roman Curia…slow slow slow!

Jeanette L:
Enjoyed your testimonies very much. The Oral Roberts part threw me for a loop! I was raised a mix of Assemblies of God and Independant Baptist (which is why some say I’m still screwed up today!) so I know the huge difference from a High Church background! 🙂

I pray that you will end up where the Lord calls you, but since priests are in such demand, I’ll pray specifically for that!

Just out of curiosity, was your childhood church St. Timothy’s in Catonsville? I’m originally from Baltimore and I recall hearing that this was an Episcopal Church that was on fire back in the day!

God Bless,
Jeanette
Yup! St. Timothy’s, Catonsville was were my dad served for about 11 years.

As a parishioner of an Ex-Episcopal priest, I know your future parish will be blessed.

God Bless!

I just finished watching a re-run of the show. Thank you very much! It addressed several of the things I’ve been thinking about lately. God bless you! 🙂

David,

Just caught the show tonight. Nicely done. Thanks for all the great insight. I’m trying to get better at my apologetics, and this show certainly helped. Thanks and God Bless! 👍

David:

Great episode! 👍
It’s so funny that I noticed this thread today.
This morning I was thinking about you and your wife and trying to remember if you said you had a book or not and what the title was.
Alot of your information could be so helpful for young couples, Thank You both for sharing your story. 😃

Peace to you & yours

No book – not yet – but “The Coming Home Network” featured a lengthy article on us a couple of months ago.

Many blessings,

David! I too loved your story, especially the part where you described your former students making a “pet project” of praying for you. I will continue the tradition by praying for your acceptance by the Church for ordination. God bless you!

(I love that show!!)
