After reading the book Sword of Constantine, I came across this book. I was so sad after reading it. To know that a Jewish child could be taken from his family on the supposition that a Catholic servant baptized him when he was very ill. I know that this took place all over Europe at different times but to take a child and refuse his family to even get him back is a “shanda” -a shame.
Has anyone read this book? I know that family members of the child still remember him and they still feel sadness over what took place. What if this took place with a Catholic child? As a former Catholic who is now Jewish, I feel the pain of those Jews from that time. To know Jewish history and the many things that were done to us… Y’all may have talked about this before on another thread. If so, I am sorry for bringing it up again. On the day of his kidnapping, I remembered him and the family. I’ll continue to do so. Again, has anyone read the book?
