Peter is given the Keys of the Kingdom, and told that what he binds will be bound and so on… Jesus, the Son of David, was quoting from Isaiah 22:17-22. Here we see the institution of an office of authority in the Kingdom of David, The office holder is given the keys to the Kingdom, and the power of shutting and opening. It is called an office, and there were successors throughout the duration the the Kingdom of David. The office holder was given a throne of honor in the kingdom, and was called a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Now Peter was given the Keys to new Kingdom. In Revelation 21 we see that the Heavenly Jerusalem is the Church, Both are called the Bride of the Lamb. Now since Peter is called a father to the inhabitants of the new heavenly Jerusalem, Christ said so. And the inhabitants of the heavenly Jeruslaem are those members of the Body of Christ, Then all of this makes sense. The word Pope is the Italian word for Papa, father. The Pope, the successor to Peter, and yes there were successors, see Acts 1:21 is called a father to the inhabitants of the Church, and he has the keys on his shoulder and the power of binding and loosing, guarded by the Spirit and Christs promise to be with the Church always until the end of time. In the Catholic Church the Pope is the Shepard that Christ said to feed his sheep, and tend the lambs,he is the father to the inhabitants of the new heavenly jerusalem, and he has a throne of honor in his fathers house. We don’t worship the Pope or pray to the Pope, we Honor him and his office of authorityand pray for him. And for 2000 years we have an unbroken chain of successors to Peter. Pretty deep huh .
Guess who the queen of the Kingdom of David was. It was the kings Mother. Now the Son of Davids Mom is the new Queen of the new Kingdom of David, the New Heavenly Jerusalem. In revelation we see the Mother of the Messiah in Heaven, clothed with the sun, with a crown of 12 stars and the moon under her feet(Rev 11:19,12:1-6)remember chapter and verse was not added to scripture until the middle ages so you can read Rev 11:19, and 12:1-6 as one long narrative, as it was intended. You will see the Ark, which was the sacred holder of the word of God, except now the word is made flesh. Mary is the Ark of the new covenant, she held the Word made flesh within her womb. And just like the Ark nothing unholy ever touched the Arkof the new covenant. Remember Christ calls his mother Woman on the cross, and in Genesis , I will put enmity between the woman seed and your seed. and Revelation, behold a woman. In John 2:4 Jesus calls her Woman. Her title was reserved through out time. Just like the Ark she went in to the Hill country for 3 months. And just like David, John the Baptist lept for Joy in the presence of the ark. Not because the Ark it self was worthy of praise but what was inside of her/it, the Word of God!Pray that you can see this Golden thread throughout Scripture
