Hats off to Scott Hahn for such a great book.

Just had to say it.

I bought it and haven’t read it yet. I was rather intrigued after hearing speak about the connections in the Book of Revelations to the Mass.

He has a website too, and you can use it for Scripture Study. He recommends another book first - Convenant Love.

Here is his site

Salvation History

Here is the section where you can enroll in online courses - free, and it goes along with his short books, including The Lamb’s Supper.

It is a great book, I agree. I haven’t read it in a couple of years, I should go back to it again. Makes you see Mass in a whole new light!

I’m very anxious to read it…I’ve heard great things about it. :yup:

I really liked the book. It changed my whole perspective on the mass.👍

Yes any and all books by Scott Hahn get my recommendation 👍

I have recently been buying his Bible study series. If you havent already looked into those, I would highly recommend that.

Has anyone read his most recent book. It came out last week, “Ordinary Work, Extraordinary Grace”? It is a quick read. I finished it in a couple sittings. two thumbs up!

I have been gradually working my way through his book about confession, Lord Have Mercy. I’m having difficulty with it because it sparks that over scrupulous nerve I have in myself. After reading a chapter or so, I start despairing of the Lords Mercy. My priest said I shouldn’t read it anymore.🙂

I am enjoying the one about the sacraments, but can’t remember the name… it’ll come to me later, after I sign off.😃

I read “The Lamb’s Supper,” while on my first retreat at St. Joseph’s Abbey, in Spencer, MA.

I finished it before the Sunday morning Mass. The Mass was a piece of the heaven in the Book of Revelaiton, on earth!

Between the smell of incense and the way they sang the Nicene Creed in monastic harmony!

During reception of communion, a group of monks about 6 of them, form a circle off to the left of the altar and sang.

I think I floated back to my seat after I received communion. 🙂

Mass has never been so meaningful as since I read, The Lambs Supper.

I bought this Bible study series about 6 months ago and I’m just getting started on them (I have quite a backlog of reading going on  ). I decided to start with Romans. I’m not sure if starting there is what very many people would recommend, but it seems to be the main book that Evangelicals use to dispute just about all things Catholic, and since I’ve got to learn how to intelligently explain the Catholic faith, absent of emotions (a problem it seems), I thought that’s where I’d begin.

So far, I’m doing ok with it. A lot to take in with this former Evangelical mind! It’s like learning to tie your shoes all over again, but in a completely different way, and with your left hand when you’ve been right handed all your life!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I need convincing, I just need to be able to think Catholic, like when you learn a different language and have to learn to think and even dream in that new language. In other words, it doesn’t happen overnite.

But Scott Hahn’s books have been a huge help in that direction. And The Lamb’s Supper was a great eye opener!
