I was wondering if Alfred Edersheim’s The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah is a fair and accurate book for Catholics wanting to learn more about 1st century Palestine. I might not need it, because I already have a translation of Giuseppe Ricciotti’s The Life of Christ, but Edersheim’s book seems more in-depth. God bless!
