There are countless people who refer to this to back their claims about Catholicism. I don’t know what to say. Joe Rogan and other famous people say this. There’s church history and other things. These works of art are always thrown at Catholics in debates. Is there a proper argument to defend the Church in this? The 1st picture is the Resurrection of Christ from hell. Many people don’t know that. They’re like, “ Hell? Why would Jesus be in hell?” Or, in the second picture, “ It looks like a serpent, it’s SATAN SATAN.” I’m tired of all this nonsense. I just don’t know how we can fix this.

when such dishonest and disrespectful questions are thrown at you, it is best to ignore it and pray for them, than to seek a response. no one honestly inquiring for the truth will be off-put from a 2k year-old Church that claims divinity over a few instances of art/architecture they don’t like

Some do not believe in the Creed, or rely upon their own interpretation of scriptures apart from the Church, not believing that there is a second chance for salvation after death, up to point of the harrowing of hell.

What, not a frog?

My take is that people proposing these kinds of arguments are not amenable to rational counter-arguments. I don’t normally bother to argue with people like that; you can’t change their minds. The ‘snake’ one in particular is about as weak a charge as I can imagine.

FYI, lots of answers in the previous threads on this topic:

What's up with the Pope's Audience Hall? Philosophy
Not really sure what category to put this in, but what is up with the Pope’s Audience Hall? Why does it look like a snake, and why are there no crucifixes or other Christian art in it? (It’s not a fish eye lense.)

Pope Paul VI Audience Hall Moral Theology
Has anybody else seen that the pope’s audience hall looks like the head of a serpent, on the outside and the inside? I find this quite concerning. First that it exists, that somebody had to have approved it, and the fact that it’s only talked about and discussed by those outside the church. As just another reason to prove that the pope is the anti Christ and the church is the whore of babylon. Of anybody has some insight into this subject, i would appreciate hearing it.
