Is it possible to engage in the marital embrace and not commit some minor sin of lust? I know this was Augustine’s thinking on the matter.
At least the Temptation to treat the partner as an object must be excited in the sexual act. What are your thoughts. I know the conjugal act is noble (GS 49) but it ust be very easy to losecontrol of your rational appetite at least momentarily…ps I get married 18 June Pray for me

Lighten up. God made us to desire our spouse. He rejoices when we share our conjugal privileges frequently and with relish! Energetic sexual desire is a GOOD thing in marriage. It becomes lust when it is self-centered and seeks gratification at the expense of the other or in a way that is contrary to the divine plan.
