Though at the same time, I am holding out hope since both movies of Infinity Wars will directed by the talented Russo brothers who gave us the amazing Winter Soldier. Also what are your thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy in terms of experience and tone?

Would you like all the future Marvel movies to be like Guardians or more like Winter Soldier? The second one, I felt had humor but it also managed to strike that delicate balance to become a bit more serious. This is where I feel Age of Ultron failed though I still enjoyed the film.

As I say in my revised review on my blog, this type of overblown storytelling is taking away Marvel’s novelty. Not to mention, Civil War is going to have even more superheroes than Age of Ultron, and the fact that Marvel has revealed all of their titles for Phase III makes me feel like I know what happens in a season of the tv series before I’ve watched it. I’m tempted to not even watch previews for upcoming Marvel movies to stay surprised.

I’d say Guardians is the most substantial and heartfelt story that Marvel has told yet. It isn’t my favorite (the first Avengers takes that spot), but I put it at #2.

I’d like future Marvel movies to be more like Guardians. Despite usually high stakes for a Marvel movie, the story itself is more about the characters and their relationships than stopping the bad guy from blowing up planets. Of course, that kind of focus all depends on the story that’s being told. I’d be happy if Civil War ends up being as good as Winter Soldier, though I’d prefer if Cap 3 were more about Cap searching for Bucky while leading his new Avengers.
 
I would prefer they did another stand alone Hulk film.I think they’ve stuffed around too much with Hulk cinematically, and a standalone sequel should be made to re-energize Hulk’s own “franchise”.

Leave Avengers 3 on the back burner for a few years.

Just rewatched both Hulk films, flawed and somewhat underrated films with great moments but terrible editing. Ang Lee seemed to lose touch in the editing room, and the Norton starring reboot seems to go too far the other way towards letting the action scenes dominate everything else. I think they should give it a third shot with Ruffalo in the lead role.

Favorite moments in both films are the parts where Hulk(Banner himself in the reboot) falls out of the upper atmosphere. It’s like in both movies it was the moment where the directing and acting finally seemed to come together. They both have that touching moment when Banner realizes that the Hulk is taking over his personality. In the first film, Banner looses control over Hulk and has that nightmare of hulk crushing him through the mirror, in the reboot he needs to do something drastic to force the Hulk to come out, so he jumps out of the chopper.
