Fr. Heilman named his Novena for Life after it, so those of us praying the novena remembered.

I think a bigger problem is many places in USA probably have clouds right now, there’s been bad weather. It cleared here so I got to see it. Totality was about 20 min ago

Clear sky here too, but very cold. I didn’t stay out there very long.

Looked cool though.

I noticed I was able to see a number of additional stars when the shadow was covering the moon. One doesn’t realize how bright the Moon really is till we see an eclipse where it darkens.

I set my alarm for midnight (Eastern Time). My wife and I had been watching a movie and paused it to bundle up and go out in the cold to see the darkest part of the eclipse several minutes later. It was beautiful! The sky was cloudy all day, and is expected to be cloudy tomorrow, but tonight it is crystal clear.

Some years ago I was able to see a faint comet during a lunar ellipse. There is no way it would have been visible with the full moon. The darkness of the sky during a lunar eclipse is amazing, and useful!

I’ve been walking for exercise these last few months, an I’m really becoming aware how bright the moon is because when it’s a New Moon, I cant even see the deer until their pretty close to me as they run past.
(I live in a suburb but for some reason we don’t have any street lamps, so the nocturnal animals all come out to play…)

same here; but,at least I seen it, supposedly won’t happen again until 2021
A Lunar Eclipse perhaps. Those happen every year or so.
But you only see a super moon / wolf moon / total lunar eclipse about once every 150 years.
