In the Original language assyrian (Aramaic) it means “I Give” or “I promise”

Mary is Mother of Jesus who is third Person of the Trinity of God.
Mary is not Mother of the Father, she is Mother of God Incarnate.
She did not carry the Father nor the Holy Spirit in her womb, she carried the Son.

Mary was married to Joseph. He connection to the Holy Spirit was spiritual.
Scripture tells us only that the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and that it was though the action…not physical because the Holy Spirit is spiritual not material, and made no marriage contract, by the way, scripture only speaks of Joseph as her husband, Mary as his wife.

"the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called** the Son of God. [Luke 1:31-35

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

And from Matthew 1:18-25

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g] (which means “God with us”).

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus."

We do need to read papal documents like Marialis Cultus to obtain a true understanding of our Blessed Mother.

Mary is the mother of the Son
But is the daughter of the Father
and the spouse of the Holy Ghost/Spirit

She is not the mother of all three. This should explain it all…

This thread looks like a good place to share something our Deacon said in his homily yesterday. He said that “Mary carried Jesus in her womb for 9 months, and she carried Him in her heart for the rest of her life.”

No dear. Prayers are for anybody. We can pray (the word etymology means to ask, and if you read Shakespeare, you’ll notice many a ‘prithee’. . .a contraction for PRAY THEE . .and addressed to many different people, not to God) to and for and with anyone.

WORSHIP, on the other hand, in the narrow modern definition, is reserved to God alone.

Again, in older times, one would offer ‘worth ship’ to someone of ‘worth’ due to that person’s status.

Ever been to Great Britain? Do you know how they address their judges? “Your WORSHIP” (that is, the one worthy to judge.)

Do you think people in Great Britain actually worship their judges?

No, but they HONORED the WORTH of those judges in days gone by.

So until I see you putting up a thread and maintaining it as long as you do your “Mary worship” threads, to rebuke all the people in Great Britain for worshipping their judges, I think you should lay off the accusations that Catholics worship Mary.

The original poster did not come even close to correctly describing the aramaic volwel system. I suspect the Original Poster got most of his mis-information from some New Age publication wiuth a strong Goddess orientation. 🤷 🤷 🤷

I don’t spreading the Word but you’re mistaken in some of your points.

Jesus Christ, son of the Father, is, with the Holy Spirit, one God in Three Divine Persons.
But only Christ was incarnate of the Virgin Mary.

Mary is often considered the spouse of the Holy Spirit in that the Spirit overshadowed her, but she is also the legal ‘earthly’ spouse of St. Joseph. However, that marriage was never meant to be consummated. . and it never WAS consummated. Mary remained a Virgin before, during, and after Jesus’ birth. . .for always.

As for the ‘original language’ being Assyrian (Aramaic), it’s old and it does have more vowels than English BUT

I think you inadvertently meant to state, “In the ARAMAIC language there are seven vowels” but you said "In the ENGLISH language’ there are seven vowels, (which confuses people who correctly noted only 5 --a, e, i, o, and u- and SOMETIMES y.)
