The way Donald Trump deals with dictators like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jung-Un, and others, I am wondering if Trump is the new Neville Chamberlain.
Prior to the start of World War II, Chamberlain seemed to believe he could appease Adolf Hitler through discussion and non-confrontation in dealing with the King Nazi.
Trump talks tough and gruff when it comes to the leaders of American allies and to people in the Democratic Party, but he seems to have nothing but love for the Putins of the world.
Is Trump to new Chamberlain?

The main characteristic of Chamberlain’s appeasement policy was his tacit approval of Hitler’s seizure first of Austria and then the Sudetenland. Putin’s only action of that kind was taking back the Crimea, which Russia had handed to Ukraine in 1954 for reasons that have never been satisfactorily explained. Iran and North Korea haven’t been grabbing any territory from their neighbors. The only action of that kind going on at the moment is China’s attempt to change Hong Kong’s status, chipping away at its autonomy, and Trump seems to have been as supportive as he can be of the Hong Kong protesters. I don’t know whether John Bolton’s departure will make a difference. What do you make of that?

Bolton’s departure? I was shocked when Bolton first got the job. Trump does not like foreign intervention. Bolton believes in regime changing conflicts. It never made sense that Trump would want Bolton. The only thing they agreed on was to get the US of the treaty with Iran. Trump seems to like chaos. That and dictators.
