Hi guys,

I used an article published in the September 1992 issue of This
Rock magazine to answer a question we received on our website.
I received a follow-up question and we don’t know how to answer it.

I was reading your website and you tried to calculate Ellen Gould White as 666. I was just wondering why the letter “W” has the value of 10?​

because w is not a letter in latin. It is two v’s back to back.

Hey Mike! Good question. In Traditional Hebrew of Christ’s Time, www was 666. Just pick up any Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek Concordance. The issue is a pending Truth at the Vatican. The Pope is the only authoritative interpreter of revealed truths. The Proof is at www.istheBeast.com All the right people have this.

Hi beng,
I am in the dark completely. How do we know V is 5. If I substitute numbers for the alphabet, ie. A=1 ,b=2 etc, z=26, I assign 22 to V which I suppose reduces to 4. Which method do you use?

The Beast of the Apocalypse: Playing the Numbers Game

A friend interested in such matters sent away for a book advertised in various Eastern Australian dailies during the Pope’s visit in November 1986 that offered to explain the Pope’s Role in World Events Yesterday and Today.

From the style of the advertisement a discerning reader would have suspected this to be yet another of what can best be called ‘hard-corn’ paperbacks, being produced by the religious gutter-press in America, and now flooding the Pacific and beyond.

The 600 page book proved to have 640 pages. It cost $5.00 ‘to cover printing, packaging and postage’. The American price of the book was $1.50 (obscured by an Australian price tag stuck over it) and if the blurb on the back can be believed, the author has 20 million copies of her various publications in circulation around the world, so the ‘cost of printing’ can’t have been anything like the $1.50 the book cost in America! If one allows for retailers’ discounts etc., etc., the $A5.00 seemed a bit stiff.

But who are the publishers of this book, entitled The Great Controversy, written by Ellen Gould White? ‘United Publishers’ doesn’t give much away, nor did their Californian, Nebraskan, Canadian, Washington addresses. An amateurish, hand-written address in Hornsby was stuck to the bottom of the frontispiece. We removed this carefully, and underneath was found the answer: a familiar Warburton, Victoria, address belonging to the ‘Signs Publishing Company,’ owned by the Seventh Day Adventists. This vital piece of information may have been accidentally obscured; but its being hidden seemed too convenient to be unintentional.

Significantly, the advertisement in the daily papers referred to above, never mentioned the Seventh Day Adventists. It simply offered to throw light on the Role of the Pope. Was the target audience the Catholic reader? One can be forgiven for concluding yes. Presumably Catholics would not have sent their $5.00 for a book published by Seventh Day Adventists. Hence the innocuous Hornsby address.​

Anti-Catholic; anti-Papal​

Turning to the book itself, we find that it is filled with old-fashioned anti-Catholic, anti-Papal bigotry. While claiming to reveal the ‘ultimate Plan of God for mankind’, and to be ‘a source of comfort and inspiration to millions’, it is, in reality, a fierce attack on the Catholic Church all it teaches. It offers a garbled version of the history of Christianity up to the Reformation, and without a blush praises American Republicanism and Protestantism as the only authentic Christianity! (p. 389)

Since God created the beasts on the sixth day, Satan seeks to lowers us to the beasts by not worshiping God. Some scholars also think it refers to Emperor Nero in code, but I believe that God does not sink to code when He communicates great truths or warnings to us, as the case is here; on the contrary, God communicates with us all in plain, simple, straightforward language.

So in conclusion, while 666 connotes apocalyptic horrors to come, in truth it is simply a way of God revealing that the True Trinity will always prevail over the false one. IMHO. . .

Anyone know the Holy Father’s view on the number that they could share with us?

When dealing with these mathematical facets found in texts whether it is Matthew 1 ,v1- 17 ,the mathematics of Revelation,Genesis chronology ect, it is best to drop the erroneous assumption that gematria is involved.

I realise that the idea of gematria is so indoctrinated that the ability to recover the mathematical facets is no longer possible and unfortunately the major denominations have done nothing to encourage a more open approach in the light of archaelogical discoveries that demonstrate just how rich our ancestors really were in recognising natural patterns such as the neolithic Newgrange monument that registers the astronomical orbital cycle.

The Judaeo-Christian equivalents are the most exquisite known but it takes a bit of effort to become familiar with the outlines of the constructions.

For instance,the numbers 153 and 666 are linked in a specific way using arithmetical progression,even St Augustine knew part of this when he approached the Johannine text -

In the many years I worked to the structure of Matthew’s genealogy and the Book Of Revealtion I have found that intellectual laziness is the main obstacle to approaching the mathematical facets and I never stop marvelling at the ingenuity of the author(s) that compliment rather than swamp the Spiritual messages.While I would not say the Biblical authors are winking and nodding at those who acquire an understanding,be it in outlines or in depth,I do appreceate how these wonderful mathematical/geometric facets protect the texts like gargoyles on a cathedral.

Pity that the only person who ever came close to presenting a better way to approach symbolic numbers is St Augustine or perhaps others thought it better to remain silent on the matter as I have for many years due to cryptos, pseudos and gematrists.
