Has the Pope ever made a statement regarding the following?

As any serious Bible student knows, God has specific meanings for certain numbers. Several books have been written about the Bible and numbers, such as, Biblical Mathematics by Ed. F. Vallowe, Bible Numerics by Dr. Peter S. Ruckman, Number in Scripture by E.W. Bullinger, Numbers in the Bible by Robert D. Johnston, and Triskaidekaphodia - The Fear Of The Number 13 by Dr. Paul Heaton.

It says how the number 6 represents “man” as in “sixth day man was made” and the “mark of the beast”.

It says how number 11 represents “judgement” as in the “eleventh hour” and “eleven apostles”.

It says how number 7 represents “completement” as God made the world in 7 days, and there are lots of 7’s in Revelation.

It is interesting to read but has there ever been an official statement on this?

As this is a topic that is mostly confined to biblical scholars and students, it isn’t something that a Pope would make a definitive statement about. Many people (and I’m not saying you are one) are surprised to learn that the Church doesn’t have a definitive statement about everything under the sun. Catholics have a certain freedom on peripheral issues that do not conflict with the clear teaching of the Church.

This much is true, but when it gets to the extreme where people become obsessive about biblical numerology and finding “hidden clues” in the Bible based on fanciiful and elaborate calculations and numerical arrangements (i.e. the best-selling “Bible Code”) , is when it starts to get Looney Tunes.:whacky:
