Both? In Catholic belief (which eventually became the general Christan beliefs due to the Reformation and all) there is only one. And he who sees/hears the Son, sees/hears the Father–and the Holy Spirit. Doesn’t appear to me that the Father is slighted.For many christian sects, there seems to be a cult around the figure of Jesus. He seems to take on more importance than heavenly father. In fact, heavenly father can be ignored by many christian groups as Christ takes more than center stage.
In the mormon tradition both are honored. Jesus is honored but heavenly father takes center also as mormons address their prayers not to christ but to heavenly father in the name of christ. In other words, it is heavenly father that mormons have answer prayers.
