Here is proof that our Holy Father PJP II refers to Orthodox as the other lung.

“Catholicism and Orthodoxy are the TWO LUNGS of Christianity – and to breathe with but one lung is to live an impaired life”… ( Pope John Paul II)

Why would he call Eastern Catholics the other lung ? They are Catholics already and in communion with Rome.
 
It hardly constitutes proof if you merely attribute the quote to him without a citation. It’s possible he said it but give us the chance to verify it.
