Interestingly enough, the greatest hope we have for seeing the Tiara used again is NOT, perhaps, a papal mass in the tridentine rite, but the Divine Liturgy in the Byzantine Rite, in which the tiara resembles the traditional Byzantine Mitre.
In fact, i read somewhere that one of the last times the tiara was actually used was in the context of a Byzantine liturgy
