I highly recommend that every catholic should read The Delores Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Sr (Bl) Catherine Emmerick. This is the book that inspired Mel Gibson, but she goes into so much more detail in the book. It helps you understand what our Lord went through for me and you. It is a book you just can’t put down.

I am planning on watching “The Passion” to prepare myself for Lent. When I was younger I always heard we should reflect on the passion of Christ before Easter but I never really understood what that meant until I saw the movie. I’m grateful to Mel Gibson for this, it’s not easy to watch but I pray I have the courage to view this movie again.
