The Perpetual Virginity Of Mary

I’ve been in the library reading the article titled, Mary: Ever Virgin

The article states that Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Ulrich Zwingli all “honored the perpetual virginity of Mary and recognized it as the teaching of the Bible, as have other, more modern Protestants.”

Can anybody point me toward a venue wherein I can check that out for myself, please?

Here’s a Couple. One from a Lutheran, one from a Catholic. On Lutherans, please remember that Lutherans are not bound to either position on any of the marion doctrines. I’m one Lutheran that believes in Perpetual virginity, IC, assumption (generally). Others don’t.
I also think it is possible to overstate and understate Luther’s mariology. It is an interesting topic, however.

Yes, I’ve just read that same quote as I followed the trail which started with the two articles JonNC kindly pointed me toward. Most interesting.

I hope I explain what I am thinking correctly. The concept of Mary as being a “normal woman” who had sex with her husband always seemed tied to me to the concept that she had sinned. Catholics and EO do not hold either position. Most Protestants hold both. I do not think that they mean to link the two, but it always seems like they do.

But, the reformers did hold that she remained a virgin. I think that Luther was the most “Marian” of them.
