And the media doesn’t report how the West often contributes to the disaster. It’s not just Muslim extremists who are causing so many problems for the Church in the Holy Land.

There just seems to be no end in sight for our brethren in Palestine, Syria, and Iraq.

So the problem is not America, the problem is that the Palestinian muslims will vent their anger on Christians because the vice president of the USA who happens to be a Christian, supports some decisions the muslims don’t like.

Sounds like Christians in Palestine are ‘free’ as long as they (or christians from the usa) dont do anything to upset them.

The Christians of Palestine opposed the embassy decision, too. Muslims aren’t the only ones getting their homes bulldozed and children killed. Blaming the problem on Islam alone is beyond out of touch.

Zionism is a huge problem, too, as is the brain-dead support of it from many Western Christians.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness and snares
of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other
evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
Amen.

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.
Amen.

Jesus, Help Me
Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.
Amen.

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.
Amen.

Prayer Against Depression
By St Ignatius of Loyola
O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.
Amen.

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
Amen.

My Jesus,
I believe that You are
present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and
I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive
You sacramentally, come at least spiritually
into my heart. I embrace You
as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated
from You.
Amen.

Thank You dear Lord Jesus, always and
everywhere, for everything.
Amen.

Jesus, I trust in You.
Amen.

I can not understand this. Yes the ontologies and cosmologies of religions often conflict between themselves but the world is getting like a “global village”, Islam and Christianity have much in common , even if, - yes, we have basic differences.
Why both can’t live in mutual respect and equality?
Even in Indonesia, Malaysia, in Iran, there are experience of peacefully co-existence of different religious groups.
Why is there no way of reconciliation and co-existence in Israel for so long?

The article mentions the Armenian Church.
Already several generations of Armenians living on the territory of Islamic influence had experience of terrible persecution.
What is the “Сross of Christ” or " Christian faith in the Incarnation" I found out by beginning to read the multi-volume book “British Documents on Ottoman Armenians”.
https://www.abebooks.com/book-search/title/british-documents-ottoman-armenians-1895/
It so happened that Christians Armenians (also Greeks, Assyrians) lived in the territory of the Ottoman Empire.
We in the Christian countries do not understand what price they paid, and what kind of cross was carried for their faith, for their theology the Christians-Armenians.
Armenians often used to live in a state of chronic terror , could not sleep soundly at night because of fears the nocturnal attacks of the robbers.
Burned monasteries, women and children have been subjected to a barbarous treatment, revolting to humanity. The houses, villages were destroyed, and all Armenians possessed pillaged. Enemies some times plundered and killed at their pleasure, and any Christian who dared to deny them any thing, he was sure to loose his life and property.
Cattles, sheep’s, gold were plundered.
In some areas of the empire, the Armenians implored permission to sell, and received permits only on consenting to double or treble the tax.
Similar treatment towards the Christians we are witnessing today in some countries of the Middle East.
In case with Armenians , the same as today on Middle East, Christians had superior intelligence over the Mahometan races.
In their hands was the meaningfully capital and commerce, because they were industrial and frugal people, prosperous bankers, merchants, the agents of wealthy families. The people who used to enrich Ottoman treasury, the wealth of the country were persecuted for their faith.
In addition to theology, in reality, the real reasons for the persecution of Christians were envy and the desire to enrich themselves with their wealth.Reading that book, I found out that the tragedy of the Armenian Christians was not a single tragic event, but many years of persecution, robberies, deportations, and murders.
Ugur Ungor, the Turkish historian, also mentions that one of the reasons for the persecution of Christians, (the reason which was hushed up) -the desire to enrich themselves with their property.

Unfortunately, today the story is repeated, (exactly the same, according to the plot of atrocities) and the fate of Christians in the Middle East, often similar to that fate - the Armenians, Greeks, and Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire.
The question is whether the Muslims are ready for dialogue and co-existence.
This issue is very important in the background of political revival of Islam.

But I fully agree that today on the Middle East the morally-destructive eschatological theories bear more destructive consequences than creative ones.

Many Jews who are sympathetic with Christian Zionism, believe that those who do not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel does not explore the Bible, but I believe that their (Evangelists Fundamentalists) destructive eschatological theories about end times bear more hatred, blood and devastation.

and it is necessary to recognize that in many Islamic countries it becomes unsafe to be a Christian and also for the Jews

Yes, the Armenian Genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Turks was disgusting and it’s even more disgusting that Turkey won’t take responsibility for it to this day.

I don’t think anyone is denying that Islam has had a schizophrenic relationship with Christianity since its inception, alternatively tolerating to accepting as second-class citizens to outright attempts at extermination.

Israel has also engaged in systemic oppression of Arab and Mediterranean Christian culture in its own borders, in Palestine proper, in Syria, in Lebanon, which has caused Christians and Muslims to have a shared sense of solidarity. ISIL and their ilk have killed tens of thousands of non-militant Muslims as well as Christians. When Islamic extremists kill Christians, the Western outcry is appropriately loud and abrasive, if not always aware of the positive history of Christian-Muslim interaction.

However, when Israel does the same thing with airstrikes, drone bombs, detentions, raids, white phosphorus attacks, and land expropriation, it’s always labeled as self-defense by the West, regardless of if it’s true or not in a specific circumstance.

That’s why I stand by my statement that the persecution never ends for our Eastern brethren. And it won’t until we see radical Zionism as just as dangerous to the Church in the Middle East as radical Islam, even if Israel is not as overtly barbaric.

Christ is the solution to the conflict. Not war. Not politics.

You see, in the case of the Armenian genocide, the Turks deny their guilt.
Kurdish tribes made raids on Armenian settlements, Тhe Turks turned a blind eye to what was going on, and of themselves also often not stood on the sidelines.
The Armenians have suffered for their faith in Christ, without support from the Christian world.
I study foreign languages, and you know what discovery struck me recently?
-Almost 5000 French words in the Turkish dictionary. (in the Turkish dictionary almost 90 000 words.)
The French Language influenced Turkish lannguage due to politicall affiliations. In the 19th century Ottoman Empire started to modernize its institutions.During modernization France was taken as example. The first western foreign language being taught in Schools was French,. High ranking officers of the Empire got educated in France.
But I can not understand why the influence of Catholic France on Turkish society did not lead to the formation of tolerance?
It turns out that neither France nor Britain, nor Russia, there was nothing they could do to prevent the brutal persecution of Christians Armenians.
Now the fate of Christians in the Мiddle East is similar in many ways.
Radical Islam can now conquer the former Soviet Union countries in Central Asia, and after withdrawal of American bases from there, considering the high levels of poverty and unemployment, many can take up arms under the banner of ISIS.
The fate of Christians in many regions of the world today is under threat, and it can be argued that Zionists contribute to even greater hatred of Christians.

Yes, the reason why of this close relation between the two countries during 19th can be traced back 16th century. During the reign of Sultan Suleiman Khan, French King wanted help from Ottommans against Habsburg expansion in Europe.Ottomans helped the King to get his country back, France also got commercial privileges on the seas under Ottoman control.
Yes, The Imperial France also has both bright and dark sides of history, but I am more interested in the aspect of “religious tolerance"and” peaceful co-existence of religions".
In the Ottoman Empire functioned Catholic missions, associated with charity and education of children.
Catholic nuns managed to give a good education to orphans.
France gave the Turkey a lot of excellent things,
and the Turks at least had to learn to embody religious tolerance.
I think that in the hands of today’s Turkey the opportunity to set an example of tolerance for the entire Islamic world and Аrabistan.
But the Muslim revival in the Мiddle East countries and emotions about the capital of Jerusalem, and discrimination against Muslim minorities in Israel also unfortunately reflected in the attitude towards Christians in the depths of Turkey. Erdogan’s statements, and the news from the depths of Turkey, show the rage of Muslims and the growing dislike of Christians.

Actually Christianity has practically declined in every middle eastern country except Israel you should also know that Israel gives its Jewish and non Jewish citizens (including Arabs) the freedom to vote and the freedom to choose their religion (which is something lacking in most Arab countries). Bethlehem the birth place of my lord and your lord has lost its Christian population, infact its Christian population continues to decline ever since Israel withdrew from Bethlehem in 1967 for peace (again). 70% of Iraq’s Christians were driven out of Iraq or were killed by Muslims. Lebanon’s Christian population would have been a lot smaller were it not for the Israeli governments support in the civil war, something I most grateful for being part Lebanese. Israel also has given back the identity of middle eastern Christians that was stolen by the Arabs. I’m from the Middle East and I’m proud to stand with the state of Israel.
