:yeah_me:I find it quite interesting that in the World Cup, a world wide soccer tournament you have Germany facing off with Argentina. Pope Emeritus Benedict *is German *and Pope Francis is Argentinian. Is God so pleased with these two Popes that He is highlighting His Joy through them! God can use any means He likes to show His Love for these 2 excellent men of God. I believe this to be perhaps an indirect way of Evangelizing Our Great Faith. Who will win??? Does it really matter! Let’s just sit down and share in God’s Joy.:yeah_me:

Oh if you ask me this is historical! What are the odds of having tow popes…pope emeritus and poor Francis… And that the countries playing in the final are both popes’ countries?

If you would have suggested that to someone twenty years agobtheybwould have looked at you like crazy hahahaha. Interestingly it seems to have caused a great attention that they are the countries of the two popes. Hopefully this will helpbstrenght the catholic church in both Germany and argentina 😃

Very Historical!!🙂

If your theory is true, what does it say about the winner being God’s favorite pope?

I think it could be a good chance for evangelization and all, but let’s not get too carried away here. This is the third time these countries have played each other in the final, and they are both consistently among the best teams, so it’s not too strange that they’re playing each other.

Default Re: The World Cup becomes The Pope Cup

I can’t show you the pic here only because it might offend non-soccer loving fans

In my ‘theory’ I really had none regarding God’s favorite pope. Either way I believe we all win because it puts a fun and favorable limelight to the Papacy.
