I had that problem, because for a while, my sister was getting my mail, because I live where she used to, and since she has the same last name when she put in for a change of address form, the post office assumed that I moved too.
It started when someone from church handed me a letter that was addressed to me but was returned as undeliverable, bad address, yet it was my correct mailing address.
Then the bank sent me a debit card that was returned to them as bad address.
Now I have a letter from the county that says they are going to take away my homestead exemption because a notice that they mailed to me was returned to them.
I have to pay extra bank fees because the post office didn’t mail me my debit card and the county is going to charge me real money because teh post office doesn’t deliver me my mail.
Oh, that is bad. Go to the post office and bring your evidence. Someone is messing you up and they need to fix it. Ask to see the postmaster. He will be as interested as you are to fix the problem.
