Hello everyone! I was listening to Arch Bishop Sheer today on the radio and it occured to me that everytime I hear him I think of The Princes’ Bride. I truely love Arch Bishop Sheer, and the Princess bride is my favorite movie. I reliezed that the the Priest in the movie and Sheer sound alike somewhat. Has anyone else ever noticed this? I was just wondering since Sheer seemed to have such a great sense of humer this might of made him laugh as will?

Do you mean Archbishop SHEEN? NO, they do NOT sound even remotely alike. The ‘bishop’ in the Princess Bride was an obvious attempt to make fun of the Catholic priesthood.

No, I think that was an attempt to make fun of a man with a lisp. Laugh, you know it’s funny.

…Princess Bride - one of the best movies ever!
No, it was only a fairly good movie, based on on one of the best books ever! (Actually, based on two books: The original Morgenstern and the abridgements and footnotes by Goldman!)

  1. It was the greatest movie of all time.
  2. The book wasn’t that great.
  3. No, the entire book was written by Goldman. He made up the book by Morgenstern as part of the story. It never existed.

Now that’s where you’re just wrong, wrong, wrong. You sound just like an alleged English Literature expert I once heard who tried to tell a true Baker Street Irregular that Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson never existed and were created by Arthur Conan Doyle. Everyone knows that Holmes did exist, that Watson was his biographer, and that Arthur Conan Doyle was just the publisher’s agent. Likewise, S. Morgenstern really did exist and was the greatest Florinese writer who ever lived!

Doubting Thomas! 😉

I always figured that with the bishop was Methodist or Anglican, what with Wes(t)ley’s name and all.

Don’t overanalyze. Just enjoy the movie.
