What is the Traditionalist “Silver Bullet”?

I dont think one exists. How about you?

If by “Traditionalist” we are talking about schismatic sedevacantist groups or groups like the SSPX, I always like to use the obedience bullet. If Christ has established His Church on the earth, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it, then it is not for us to worry about the attacks on the Church, because ultimately as long as we are obedient and trust in God, the Holy Spirit will protect the Church and its members from evil. If someone is in the chair of Peter who is not the best for it, give it time, he will be unseated. I liken their disobedience and lack of faith to that first sin in the garden of Eden. Their desire to be “like God, knowing good from evil” seems apparent to everyone but them.

The only real “Silver Bullet” that any Catholic needs to be concerned with is faithfulness to Christ and to the Church that He established. All Catholics fall short, by degree, but those among us who have been gifted with the intellectual capability to do so, are obliged to consistently make the effort to understand the Church’s teachings on every level (theological, practical, moral, social) and embrace these as our own by the manner in which we live and are called to by vocation.

Jesus has gathered disciples from all walks of life to share in the proclamation of the Good News. As Pope John Paul II has said so many times, “Follow Christ.”

Mortalium Animos always had a certain shine to it.
Quanta Cura isn’t bad either.
Come to think of it, the 8 popes before 1958.
Pascendi is closer to gold than silver.
The condition of the Catholic schools in 1964.
The number of Catholic schools in 1964.
I guess they all went the way of the Lone Ranger, Bp Sheen TV shows. “Lost in the mists of modernity”.

It’s true that they seem fond of what’s old, because it’s not new - but that’s hardly enough to make them into vampires 🙂

Good point.
But the actual big reason is:
It’s true therefore they are in love with what’s old, because it’s not novelty -
We like New places, new clothes, new cars, new tools, new houses, new friends, new babies, but OLD truths. Because we know that never changes in God’s eyes. No matter what lovers of the world say.
and Finally we know that::
To destroy a Religion, you must first sever its traditions.
“Hold fast to the traditions…” St Paul…has Silver lining to it, no?.
