We all suffer for our sins … and there is none among us that does not sin … a toddler’s pain while teething is also a pain to the mother and/or father who is taking care of him … so the suffering is still redeemable.

Pain and suffering are not the same.

The “growth pains” in a youth’s lengthening limbs are admirable. The soreness of muscles that have been well used is a normal part of living life.

The pain we feel when our fingers touch hot metal protects our skin from being destroyed.

Conversely, one can suffer intensely whilst undergoing no physical pain at all.
