I never knew there was such as thing as Catholic Answeres until someone linked to the site two weeks ago, and then I was driving by Rochester and I picked up Mass over the radio and they said that they were Catholic Answers!

I don’t get it where I live, unfortunatly 😦

But my Mass on the radio? It dosn’t seem very conservitave like many of you are

Mass on the radio - on the television is just wonderful! It is great to be able to hear the readings and listen to the wonderful homilies. I classify myself as a conservative, orthodox Catholic and I see nothing wrong with broadcasting the truth over the airwaves…goodness knows, there is so much untruth going over the airwaves!

It might also bring people to Christ - if they happen to tune in…God has His ways! God Bless

Mass on TV and radio is a perfect medium for the shut in and those unable to attend mass to have a chance to participate in our lords perfect offering of the Mass. Its also wonderful for daily mass since many people can’t leave work they can still participate though without receiving communion physically. It helps strengthen your faith too. I mean would you have heard mass that day if you hadn’t been listening to the radio? :ehh:

And this is also a good form of evangelization since it gives protestants and non-christians the mass in its entirity without them accepting the body blood soul and divinity of our Lord. And with its being in line with the teachings of the church and the magesterium they learn about what we really do thus taking care of many misunderstandings and embarassment!😃
Thats my opinion but I hope it helps you!

I didn’t know until I read it somewhere here that Sirius Satellite radio recently added EWTN Radio at channel 160. Our local Catholic radio is very static-filled here, if you can get it at all. I am now very happily listening on Sirius. I haven’t heard whether or not XM satellite radio has it.

Thank you for your replys:) I understand much better now.

Though with every thing elseveryone complains about isn’t it a bit disrespectul to have microphones and cameras during Mass even for the sake of shut ins?

I bought a Sirius radio for that very reason. I’ve been quite happy with it. It’s great to get the EWTN shows while I’m driving and I’ve enjoyed a lot of the other channels as well.
