Hello Agnes.
It’s a HUGE misundertanding to think that women who serve the Church in its liturgy are being “used” to promote a female “priesthood.”

You have every right to choose not to serve in that way, but please don’t accuse those who do of being pawns, “ignorant of Church history and . . . liturgical abuse.”

And to say that following canon law requires confession . . .
I’ll be frank. I live in Pennsylvania, not very far from Haverford, the town that they ORDAINED women in. I have seen bumper stickers in on cars in Church parking lots that say things like this: If the Church won’t Ordain women, it shouldn’t Baptize them, etc… I’ve visited over 30 different parishes in the years I’ve been a Catholic, and being a chatty sort, I have asked more than one woman in the pews her ideas on the subject. About half of those I’ve broached the subject with are in favor of women’s Ordination and that is NO exaggeration. They are Readers at Mass, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, they carry the Eucharist to the sick in homes EVERY WEEK, they are Sacristans, they send their daughters to serve the Altar and as one woman said if not in her (meaning herself) life time, certainly in her daughter’s and that’s why she pushed her daughter to serve the Altar. It brought tears to her eyes as she told me in the Pew and sadly they weren’t tears of contrition for her heretical views.

Around here there is practically no Mass you can go to that doesn’t use women and girls, either daily or Sundays. I’ve seen women and Sisters given the Gospel to read, even one year at Easter. I’ve listened as Sister’s gave homilies and yes, they were only billed as a “talk,” but the fact that the Priest didn’t give one after Sister’s “speech,” said it all. I’ve been to “kitchen” table “masses” that were so sacrilegious I left and went out side to cry. I’ve listened to men talk about how it won’t be long before the Priesthood that is being shared among the laypersons will have to be acknowledged as in the Royal Priesthood of Christ is SUPPOSED to include all persons, men, women and children, even gays and that it won’t be long before the Vatican will have to admit that this “inclusive” Priesthood developing among the faithful will have to be acknowledged and approved or everyone will simply walk.

No, Agnes, you can keep your head in the sand wherever it is you live, but here in Pennsy, it is smart to wise up and face the truth that not everyone is innocent who serves the “Inclusive Rite” Church that is growing in numbers every day.

I could share more sad facts about what I’ve discovered in my years as a Catholic by simply asking questions of the folks in the pews and parking lots. My personal conclusion: we’re living through a heresy in this corner of Pennsylvania and it is growing in strength and numbers and the longer it is ignored, the longer it will continue to grow. I’ll admit that the women who serve the Altar as Readers and EMs, Sacristans, etc. and those who support their service, while not all of them are heretics, enough are. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, chances are it is a duck. I truly think that IF the women and girls who **aren’t disbelieving **turned away from Altar services in all capacities, it would significantly alter the plans of those heretics who’ve set their eyes and hands on the Priesthood.

If you don’t care for my opinion, I can’t help that. It is just my opinion.

Glenda
