Looks like the Diversity Office at the Red Cross does not like diversity. From LifesiteNews.com:
American Red Cross Fires Employee for Refusal to Celebrate “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month”

SAN DIEGO, August 5, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Christian employee working at the American Red Cross, after expressing his concerns to senior staff about an e-mail from the diversity office notifying him that June was “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month,” was fired from his job last month.

Another black eye for the Red Cross. Mention this to the pastor the next time there is a blood drive at the Parish.

hows do they celebrate? accepting their blood? (which is otherwise banned)

I used to give blood regularly, but the arrogant and underhanded way they handled the 9/11 funds irritated me to the point where I no longer will have anything to do with the Red Cross. Now, this just adds to it. Just wish there was another place to donate blood here.

I have never been able to give blood (you should see the time they have trying to get enough blood for bloodwork out of me) so that is a moot point.

After the debacle with the 911 funds, this is just another reason not to give. My money goes to Catholic Relief services.

I, too, am done with them. They will never get another dime out of me, not while there are other reputable charities out there.
