THE RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCE OF MARY
Mary, the Mother of Jesus, has always held special significance for a variety of religions. Though the Catholic Church is perhaps most recognized for its veneration of Mary, she plays a significant role in Protestant and even Islamic tradition. Tonight, we will be examining the importance of Mary in these three religious traditions with guests representing each one. They include FATHER JAMES PRESTA, rector and president of St. Joseph’s College Seminary at Loyola University Chicago and a trained Mariologist, and SCOT MCKNIGHT, professor in religious studies at North Park University and author of the new book The Real Mary: Why Evangelical Christians Can Embrace the Mother of Jesus.
You can listen online via their webiste at wgnradio.com/

Milt’s show is an extended discussion upon a topic sort of thing which spends the necessary time to go in depth. He takes calls in the final 30 minutes to half hour of the program. An excellent and intelligent listen!

And then three days later he has this program which you might find of interest:
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15TH
A MODERN NUN’S LIFE
This year, the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago are celebrating the 100th anniversary of settling at the St. Scholastica Monastery in the Rogers Park neighborhood. To commemorate this special anniversary, tonight we welcome three sisters from this order who will describe the joys and challenges of being a nun in the 21st century and how the sisterhood has changed since they each took their vows.

I cant find it on the link, maybe I am lazy or stupid, what do I need to click on?

Milt’s show is on 9-11 P.M. Central Time, so listen then on the designated days. There’s a “listen live” link at the top lefthand part of the page for WGN.

Milt’s main page (with links to all of his subpages) is at:

Thanks Chicago!

I wish this thread was getting more attention. 😦
Especially today.

I Love Mary with every particle of my being.

Thanks Chicago!

I wish this thread was getting more attention. 😦
Especially today.
I’ve wondered whether it would get more play in the Apologetics forum. But let’s keep it up top through the day of the show, at least.

O Queen of Heaven, rejoice! Alleluia.
For He whom you did merit to bear,
Alleluia.
Pray for us God, Alleluia.
For the Lord is Risen indeed.
Alleluia.

I either forgot to bump this up to the top or the board was down. Whichever, maybe both.

Did anyone listen?
