THE RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCE OF MARY
You can listen online via their webiste at wgnradio.com/Mary, the Mother of Jesus, has always held special significance for a variety of religions. Though the Catholic Church is perhaps most recognized for its veneration of Mary, she plays a significant role in Protestant and even Islamic tradition. Tonight, we will be examining the importance of Mary in these three religious traditions with guests representing each one. They include FATHER JAMES PRESTA, rector and president of St. Joseph’s College Seminary at Loyola University Chicago and a trained Mariologist, and SCOT MCKNIGHT, professor in religious studies at North Park University and author of the new book The Real Mary: Why Evangelical Christians Can Embrace the Mother of Jesus.
Milt’s show is an extended discussion upon a topic sort of thing which spends the necessary time to go in depth. He takes calls in the final 30 minutes to half hour of the program. An excellent and intelligent listen!
