Apologies in advance if this isn’t the right forum.

I just saw this posted by an old friend on FB. I thought I’d heard all the anti-Catholic whoppers, but this one is new to me. It seems totally spurious. Anyone else heard of this? I’m including his entire quote below.
Read recently about a Roman emperor way back when they were first figuring out Christianity that used a vote to settle the question of whether salvation occurs in heaven, or (as the Romans previously believed for 100’s of years) through successive reincarnations on Earth. We all know how the vote turned out. But what you may not know is that the emperor had all those killed that voted for reincarnation!
