Is he know to contribute a lot to Catholic causes?
Though there is nothing wrong with earthly wealth, I am not motivated chiefly by it, but by the glory which God has promised to those who love him until the end (anyone remember the tale of the master who gave “talents” to his servants?) and by the desire to be as holy as I can possibly be, as pleasing to the Lord.
That, too, is what I want to know.Is he know to contribute a lot to Catholic causes?
Do a search for St. Panteleimon. He’s the patron of physicians in the Byzantine East.Though there is nothing wrong with earthly wealth, I am not motivated chiefly by it, but by the glory which God has promised to those who love him until the end (anyone remember the tale of the master who gave “talents” to his servants?) and by the desire to be as holy as I can possibly be, as pleasing to the Lord.
Medical Student,
If you can find venerated Eastern Catholic physician or other healer saints (in the modern scientific era), I would love to learn more about them. Or we can just leave out the Eastern part and just find modern Catholic physician-saints that we can look up to (if it pleases His Majesty the King, I will supply the “Eastern” part later; see below for details). If not, then I tell you that I aspire to be a venerated physician-saint, so that physicians and surgeons of the future will have someone to intercede for them.
May the King grant my request, through the intercession of + Sts. Cosmos and Damian, laymen, physicians & surgeons, and martyrs.
Yes, and in the years just prior to and just after (including this year), the richest was/is an atheist. What is your point?
I’m pretty sure Gates is an agnostic and not avowed atheist. He has even had Catholic leanings in the past 5 years as it seemed from one of his interviews.Yes, and in the years just prior to and just after (including this year), the richest was/is an atheist. What is your point?
