According to this article from a priest-writer of the Archdiocese of Washington, correcting sinners is counted by Catholicism as one of the spiritual works of mercy. Christians are often told not to judge others to shame them from correcting others. However, as this writer explains, the Bible’s command not to judge others means a judgement that is harsh and unmerciful condemnation.
