What is the purpose of the Catholic Church in society?

to exist separately (i.e. Jesus “My Kingdom is not of this world.”)?

OR

to have supreme influence in all aspects of society (political, economic…)?

I think the church should be active in the world, but not be worldly.

The purpose of the Church in society is to lead people to Christ, proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples of all nations.

Society is always saying it CAN do things, the church is there to say SHOULD you do them.
