They follow events in the Life of Christ and His Mother. It’s OK to say any set of mysteries on any day till you get going and then if you want you can follow the usual days as to what Mysteries to say. Sometimes I like to say a Rosary using my own Mysteries such as, Mary and Joseph on the way to Egypt , Jesus setting at the knee of His Mother praying. The death of St. Joseph. Well, I have prayed the Rosary, many times. It’s helped me remember the order of the Joyful Mysteries, as well as the Glorious Mysteries. However, there has to be an easier way, as opposed to “repetition,” to remember that the Scourging at the Pillar comes before the Crowning with Thorns, for the Sorrowful Mysteries. Also, since they are rather new, it will take time for me to remember the order of the Luminous Mysteries.Repetition, repetition, repetition…
If you pray the Rosary daily after a little while you will know them.

Let’s be honest, though. No one wants to pray the Mysteries of the Rosary out of order.

Finally, simply think of the chronological order of events, Jesus prayed and was betrayed in the garden before He was whipped and beaten which was before He was crowned with thorns and so on…
So, basically, there is no way around repetition and old-fashioned remembering the order of the mysteries in chronological order… Brilliant.^This.

One could spend a lifetime meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary and never run out of things to think about, I like to put myself in there and feel like an onlooker. And like I said before, I like to make up my own mysteries sometimes.
