well, I consulted with a priest and got some encouraging news. He thinks that the Tribunal may be regarding treating my case as ‘documentary’ rather than ‘formal’… I hadn’t heard of this before, but apparently the reason for the Tribunal requesting information about my ex’s two previous marriages is that they may have resulted in his marriage to me being invalid.
He also said that documentary cases are much easier to process…
Now I am trying to gather the additional documents so that when my original priest returns I can meet with him to submit them…
Still learning in this process…but feeling a lot more encouraged that things are being done - whether I know it or not!)
