I was thinking of videos taken at apparition sites, or other holy places, that were never meant to be used commercially. The only problem there is that there’s a great difference in the video quality. Some are made with professional quality equipment, and look it, while some are little more than collections of vacation snapshots. Interested parties watch the quality videos more often, and recommend them to others. At least on YouTube, the quality videos are recommended more often. If a commercial documentary gets popular, it’s owners have the option of leaving it up, taking it down, or offering it for sale. Eventually, most copyrighted items are used as their owners intend.
