Ok I had a strange thought. I know that when Jesus ascended to Heaven an angel said we would see Him return the same way we saw Him go. I also do not believe that the second coming will happen through another virgin. But, many think that the wise men were Zoroastrians and it was them who discovered the Saviors birth an assumably brought the news back to their homes with them, i.e. spread the word. So my thought is, will the Zoroastrians possibly again be the ones to discover the second coming and again spread the word, so to speak. Does this make sense?

Hi. This isn’t an area that I have much knowledge of, but let me play with this a little.

First off, the Zoroastrian faith, while older than Christianity, hasn’t the foundation of history to support the actual existence of its founder, unlike Christianity, or the dieties it proclaims.

That said, the magi that visited the baby Christ were never explained in terms of their origin. This Wikipedia article goes through some possibilities.

There is nothing I know of that supports the idea that the Zoroastrians will be the first to “discover” the Second Coming. Catholic teaching tells that Jesus’s return will be quite visible to all, but more importantly, will come at the end of time itself.

Our LORD will not be born again: HE already has HIS body; there is no need for HIM to be “discovered”.

HE ascended physically into Heaven, so for HIM to return the same way, HE will descend physically from Heaven.

Jesus is already Incarnate. He has no need to incarnate himself again through a second virgin birth. That has never been the Christian view of the Second Coming.

When Scripture says He will return the same way He left, it means He will come in power and glory in a visible way. There will be no mistaking it.

Amen! I have no idea where anyone gets the idea that Jesus will have to be ‘reborn’. He ascended into Heaven with His glorified body. That’s what the Resurrection of Jesus was all about. Our souls will be reunited with our bodies when we’re resurrected, too. We won’t get new ones by being ‘born again’ in the flesh, either. Whenever Jesus appears to anyone, He always has His wounds, and His body is solid. If anyone claims to have had a vision of Him, or sees Him “in the flesh”, and there is no sign of the wounds in His hands and feet, then it’s not Jesus. He’ll come back from Heaven with thousands (probably more like millions or billions) of angels and Saints, and everyone left on earth will see Him as plain as day, no matter where they are in the world. There won’t be anything secretive about it, and no one will have to ‘spread the word’.

When the Second Coming arrives, the entire universe is going to disappear. It’s going to be a bit obvious.

Sorry, I’m not sure where anyone got the idea that I think Jesus will be born again as I kinda made this clear in my second and third sentences. I guess I’m simply stating that if Zoroastrians played a roll when He came the first time is there any thoughts on whether they will when He comes again.

His second comng will be visible by everybody, including those whose eyes have long since rolled back in death.

No one will play any special role therein.
