Thanks for sharing, Gemma Rose…I will never look upon that Gospel story in the same way again.
A story that I like to ponder as Jesus with a sense of humour is the story of the man who climbs the Sycamore tree to see Jesus over the crowd…and Jesus noticing him asks him to come down as He would like to share a meal with him. I can imagine Jesus smiling at the man in the tree so keen to see Him that he indeed climbs a tree (and this guy had some social standing in his community and questionable social standing at that to the Jewish people)…and the last thing this short guy rejected by his Jewish community expected was for Jesus to call him down and ask to come to his home and have a meal with Him…in fact I can imagine the man near on falling out of the tree from shock.

That Scripture always makes me think of – what was it… Let’s Make a Deal, or The Price is Right ? I think of Jesus as calling out: “Zacchaeus, come ooooooooonnnn down!”
