If you ever want to hear my long and arduous journey of finally and officially becoming catholic then you can message me. It was not easy like most catholics. I had to fight for the right for sacraments I used that name as saying I am catholic even though I may not have been baptized (at the time. I am now). Not one thought of pride ever crossed my mind. I do not understand why you seem to be attacking me PERSONALLY. You know, it does not heighten someone’s feelings when someone who doesn’t even know them or their hard journey to the faith seems to call them “holier than thou”. I have personally seen what focusing on future events does to people in other religions. And now you are trying to publicly humiliate me on a Catholic forum? I would absolutely NEVER discourage anyone from reading the scriptures! I seriously do not understand. If you wish to continue, please do so in private message. Thanks. Oh, and my username is imcatholic not I’m a catholic.**Matthew 16:6
6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.**
Note that “Imacatholic” assumes the stump acronym that “Imacatholic.” Does he imply that nobody else is as pious as he? Is this a bit of pride parading as humility and piety?
At least we honestly know that he holds a viewpoint of extreme doctrinality with respect to Revelation and the Antichrist. Well and good. I respect his belief.
And, it is now clear that he is using this thread to publicly discourage anybody from reading that which is is not perfectly doctrinal. He admits that his remarks couched in personal terms to me, were really intended for everybody.
Now that his public agenda is clear, his trespasses are forgiven, even as he forgave me.
