The sin of scandal?

Last week, I think I may have committed the sin of scandal. I was tempting someone to do something wrong, in a sense. I never spoke to them or even looked at them (it’s complicated) but I think it was probably a sin anyway. But the thing is, I don’t know if this person even saw what I did or sinned at all because of it. Is this still a sin because the intent was there in my heart?

What you tell us is far too vague for us to speculate. I suggest you go to Confession.

I agree. While you may not wish to get into the specifics of what happened… it sounds like your conscience is bothering you. It would be a good thing, for you to speak to your priest in confession. He can best advise you. God bless.

Yea. Just get yourself to confession and put this behind you. Sounds like your intent was there and you wouldn’t be on this thread if you thought that what you did was harmless. Two minutes in the confessional will clear this up…teachccd
