The Southern Christendom

As many know, the Catholic faith is exploding in South America, Africa, and south Asia, even as it seems to be dying in Europe and America. Once upon a time, Christendom was the west. Soon, though, it may be the south. This is something to be prayed for, even as we pray that the faith may be reignited in Europe and North America.

Has anyone read the book The New Christendom? I haven’t, bu it covers some of these ideas.

I don’t think it is exploding in South America anymore. Protestantism is growing now. I know it still is in Africa. South Asia I’m not sure about at all.

checking…ah, unfortunately what you say about South America is true. In Africa, though it is growing.

In south Korea, there is a definite catholic minority, and the underground Church is big in China. There was recently an African synod, and in Japan there is a catholic minority.
