While the Da Vinci code has made headlines nationwide, another “fictional” book has been causing problems in my small circle…the Story of B by Daniel Quinn. My brother gave it to me and swears by it. I know it has been out a while, so does anyone know of this book or have a good idea to refute its historical claims?

Isolate the objections. Many books attempt the “objection overload” technique to overwhelm the faithful. Rarely do these objection piles add up to a coherent argument, although they tend to spring from a specific worldview. Which objection specifically is most troublesome or what your friend think is the clincher? If you can knock down the underlying worldview, most of the jots and tittles will fizzle with it.
