His story is at St Ignatius of Loyola

St. Ignatius of Loyola, with his new and dynamic conception of the religious life, who began the Jesuit order, has left an impress on the Church unparalleled in modern times.

His story was dramatic and his story of coming to know God was dramatic as well. This included extraordinary experiences of God in visions and otherwise. “Years later he told his successor in the Society of Jesus, Father Laynez, that he learned more of divine mysteries in one hour of prayer at Manresa than all the doctors of the schools could ever have taught him.” (EWTN)

A painting of his vision of Christ and God the Father can be seen at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignatius_of_Loyola#/media/File:Saint_Ignatius_of_Loyola%27s_Vision_of_Christ_and_God_the_Father_at_La_Storta_LACMA_M.89.59.jpg

Thank you for the reminder. I feel very connected to St. Ignatius because he too was suffering scrupolosity.

Tomorrow’s saint, st. Alphonsons is in thr same category.

St. Ignatius, pray for us!

I visited the Sanctuary of Loyola in Spain. The Mass is in the Basque language.
