The Syro Malankara Church and Mitres

Did bishops of the Syro Malankara Church ever where mitres? I was looking at some old pics of Mar Ivanios and he wears the mitre in alot of them. Was this just a latinization when the Syro Malankara Church came into unity?

The Syro-Malankara Church does not make the use of mitres. This was an unfortunate latinzation that could be explained by the use of the mitre by the historical Archdeacon (Now called Malankara Metropolitan) of the St. Thomas Christians.

Looks very mitre-like. The Papal pallium is also not used - although I have seen some wear it decades ago.
